As a duly recognized Engineering fraternity with an initiative for service, the Beta Epsilon Fraternity organizes several events throughout the year.
Maskipaps: Tulong sa PGH
Staying true to its values and in upholding the quality service to our fellowmen, the brotherhood came up with the Maskipaps: Tulong sa PGH project – a COVID-19 initiative that aims to help the medical frontliners.
The Beta Epsilon brothers and friends from all over the world joined together to come up with the resources needed in providing 10,000 isolation coveralls for the medical frontliners of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). In coordination with PGH Director Dr. Gap Legaspi, the PPEs were made sure to be of high quality and are suitable for the use of the medical workers in PGH. Within a month, the fraternity has been able to raise more than Php 5 million to come up with the isolation coveralls. Part of the funding of this project was also sourced from the proceeds of Maskipaps: The Crossover 2019.
On April 28, 2020, the PGH, represented by Dr. Legaspi, received 10,000 class A isolation coveralls. Indeed, the medical workers of PGH were extremely grateful with our fraternity’s contribution during the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
